The Creative Exchange
We focus on initiatives that forward refugee and immigrant resettlement, integration, and wellbeing.
The Creative Exchange is a client-facing program for refugee New Americans in the Pikes Peak region, in partnership with The Imagination Celebration of Colorado Springs.
The initiative program fosters cross-cultural connections and mental health awareness through art-based workshops, rotating arts installations, and networking events. By providing interactive spaces for collaboration and creative expression, the initiative bridges diverse communities and amplifies newcomer visibility. Participants experience meaningful dialogue, enhanced cultural understanding, and a greater sense of belonging, all while developing language skills and emotional resilience.
Community Orientation Series with APS
The Community Orientation Series by DiversifiED Consulting is designed to support new-to-English and newly arrived mothers and adult caretakers of school-aged children in building practical knowledge, fostering community integration, and accessing essential resources. Through educational workshops, hands-on outings, and social bridging activities, the program equips participants with tools to navigate their new environment confidently.
Program Goals:
Empower Families: Provide practical, actionable knowledge on local resources, school systems, and community services.
Build Connections: Facilitate meaningful social interactions and relationships within the community to reduce isolation and enhance belonging.
Enhance Integration: Equip participants with culturally responsive strategies and real-world skills to navigate daily life in a new country.
Running from September to December 2024, this series aims to create a foundation of support for participants while fostering a stronger connection between families, schools, and communities
